What can cause headlight lenses to be damaged, broken & cracked?
A collision is the most likely cause but a rabbit or a pigeon running or flying into your headlight can also cause the lens to be smashed.

 Can the headlight lens be fixed or repaired?
 It's impossible to repair broken plastic or fix excessively damaged headlight lenses as seen in the pictures below, the only alternative is to replace the headlamp lens.

Not all of them, As vehicle manufacturers are making modern headlights more and more difficult to replace the lens, as they want people to buy new units.

Q: Do you supply the lenses?

Answer

Yes most lenses can be sourced as part of our hassle free service.

Q: Can you do mine on the same day you get it?

Answer

Not possible as other clients are waiting. (But il see what i can do)

Q: Skips can you just swap my lens over to new ones?

Answer

I don`t offer this service if the lens on your headlights are scratched, cloudy and hazy. You might want to consider getting your headlights restored.More Info Here

Q: Can you advise me on the cost of replacing the covers?

Answer

Price depends on the make, model and year of vehicle.

Q: Will just buying a new headlight for my 2019 BMW be hassle free?

Answer

Entirely up to you mate, a new 2019 LED digital adaptive headlight for a BMW will cost substantially more, not forgetting it will need to be coded to work correctly. More Info Here

Q: My headlights are completely smashed but the headlights are very expensive. So i dont agree with your terms and conditions.

Then i suggest you buy a new pair of headlights. (Skippy`s Terms and conditions) - "Due to the risk involved in the lens replacement process, Any smashed or cracked headlight given to Skippy`s for lens replacement will have zero value, if the lens can not be replaced or further damage has occurred. Skippy`s will not contribute to a new or used headlight"

Q: My local garage thought they could replace a headlight lens on my 2022 BMW 7 series but he can`t seem to do it and has made a total mess. Can you help?

Modern headlights are not that strigthforward as older headlights and your local mechanic should have known better whilst working on a £2500 BMW 7 Series laser headlight. Il need pictures and further information, Message me on WhatsApp.WhatsApp

Iv always said car dealerships will take your underpants if they could. Just seen the pics you sent earlier of the cracked lens and i suggest just changing the lens and it won`t need re-coding. (Give us a call pal)

Hi, either the temperature was way too high or you had it too close to a heating element.

Hi, there is no such thing as a original headlight lens nor will any vehicle manufacturers ever make them, as they want you to go and buy a new whole headlight unit. But after market headlight lenses are widely available and should fit perfectly.
